Sen. Derek Mallow, representing the 2nd Senate District, expressed his deep sorrow over the passing of Rev. Dr. Lexcie E. Aiken, who was the spiritual leader of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia. Sen. Mallow described Rev. Aiken as "an awe-inspiring man of God" and a beloved figure in the community. He highlighted the Reverend's profound impact on individuals from various backgrounds, noting that his wisdom and spirit will be greatly missed. Sen. Mallow emphasized the importance of reflecting on Rev. Aiken's legacy of faith, compassion, and unity, stating, "While we mourn his passing, it is vital to reflect on the profound impact that he made while continuing to spread his enduring spirit of faith, compassion, and unity."
