The City of Savannah has announced that they will be hosting three public engagement meetings to discuss the future use of the Savannah Civic Center site. According to the City of Savannah, these sessions are an opportunity for residents to provide feedback that will be considered in the decision-making process.

The first community-wide open house will take place at the Civic Center on May 7, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. This event is open to all residents who are interested in learning more about the future plans for the site and sharing their input.

Following this, a virtual community meeting will be held on May 16 at 6 p.m. via Zoom. Residents who wish to participate in this virtual session can request the Zoom link by emailing planning@savannahga.gov.

The final community-wide open house will be held on May 20 at the Armstrong Center, located at 13040 Abercorn St, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Similar to the first open house, this event is an opportunity for residents to gather information about the project and offer their feedback.

All feedback provided by residents during these engagement sessions will be reviewed by City staff and will play a role in shaping the recommendation presented to the City Council regarding the future use of the Civic Center site.

Residents are encouraged to participate in these meetings to have their voices heard and contribute to the decision-making process regarding the future of this important site in Savannah.
